The heartbreaking news that six security officers were martyred on Sunday during various clearance operations around Balochistan.
Five security officers embraced martyrdom, according to the military’s media wing, when an IED exploded during a clearance operation in the Balochistan region of Kahan.
The ISPR released a statement saying that Captain Fahad and four other valiant citizens, Lance Naik Imtiaz, Sepoy Asghar, Sepoy Mehran, and Sepoy Shamoon, “had embraced Shahadat, sacrificing their life in defence of the country against an externally perpetrated menace of terrorism.”
According to the statement’s additional information, the operation had been going on in the mentioned area from December 24, 2022, according to reliable intelligence reports.
In the meantime, one security guard, Sepoy Haq Nawaz, chose martyrdom in the Balochistani village of Sambaza, the ISPR reported in yet another statement.
In order to “deny Terrorist usage of few suspected routes to migrate across Pakistan-Afghanistan Border to sneak into KP along [the] interprovincial boundary and target Citizens and Security Forces,” it was stated that this operation has been going on for 96 hours.
The statement went on to say that “the terrorists were backed by their facilitators from across the border.”
Balochistan reported 15 injuries from five separate grenade explosions.
PM Shehbaz laments the loss of six soldiers.
The nation, said to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday, was paying respects to the five troops who chose martyrdom in Balochistan.
“Heart-wrenching news from Balochistan about the martyrdom of five troops including an Army Captain,” PM Shehbaz wrote on Twitter.
“The country honours and honours our warriors who gave their life in defence of Pakistan. Terrorists who commit crimes will be prosecuted. Let there be no misunderstanding,
