Indian actress Rani Mukerji has played leading roles in numerous Bollywood productions. Mukerji, an Indian actress who was born in Mumbai, made her acting debut in the 1996 movie Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, and she gained notoriety for her role in the 1998 romantic drama Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. She has since appeared in some financially successful films, including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Mujhse Dosti Karoge (2002), Hum Tum (2004), Veer-Zaara (2004), Black (2005), Bunty Aur Babli (2005), and No One Killed Jessica (2011). In addition to six Filmfare Awards, she has won a National Film Award. A lot of aspiring actresses in India look up to Mukerji because she is one of the most popular leading ladies in Bollywood.
Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway’s director Ashima Chibber acknowledged that the project was extremely emotional for her and that Rani Mukerji sobbed frequently.
She recently discussed the friendship she shares with Rani in an interview with Mid-Day, sharing, “She was the first person I confided in when I decided to become a single mother and discovered I was expecting. I also noticed a side of Rani that was incredibly brave, kind, and supportive of me. Rani is a perfect example of a mother. Who else could have appreciated this tale more than she did? So, for me, there was a revelation every day.”
She clarified further that for them, it was an intense experience. She was feeling quite emotional while filming the scenes, and Rani was crying. For her, the pain of losing a child for 610 days made everything else seem insignificant. She said that she couldn’t fathom going through this.
“Mere Dad Ki Maruti”, a comedy from Yash Raj Films that was released in 2013, was Ashima’s first endeavor as a director. She has produced numerous television shows, including Yeh Hai Aashiqui. Rani will publish a memoir this year in which she looks back on her 25 years in the movie business.
