Aftershocks From GST, Kia Also Increases Vehicle Prices

Kia Lucky Motors has raised the price of its vehicles in Pakistan. February 14, 2023, marked the beginning of the 1% sales tax increase.

In Pakistan, Kia Lucky Motors has raised the cost of its vehicles in line with market demand. The increase in rates is a result of the sales tax’s increase from 17% to 18%, which takes effect on February 14, 2023. The business updated its car prices to reflect the new rate as a result.

Recent years have seen a great deal of instability in Pakistan’s automotive sector as a result of things like the rise in the value of the US dollar relative to the Pakistani rupee, import restrictions, rising freight costs, and the State Bank of Pakistan’s lack of LCs (SBP). Due to these problems, the industry has experienced non-production days, and a recent report found that over 250,000 people have lost their jobs as a result.
