Hyundai Increases Car Prices Following General Sales Tax Hike

Hyundai and other local automakers increased their vehicle prices as General Sales Tax (GST) increased from 17% to 18%.

As a result of the recent increase in General Sales Tax (GST) from 17% to 18%, including vehicles, Hyundai and other local automakers have announced a price increase for their vehicles. Hyundai has raised its prices for the second consecutive month, with Pakistan Suzuki Motors (PSMC), Atlas Honda (HACL), and Toyota Indus Motors (IMC) having increased their prices three times in the past 30 days.

New Prices of Hyundai Cars

Below are the new prices of Hyundai cars after the latest price hike:

Hyundai Elantra

All variants of the Hyundai Elantra have experienced a price increase.

  • The price of Elantra 1.6 has increased from Rs. 5,699,000 to Rs. 5,749,000, representing a rise of Rs. 50,000.
  • The price of Elantra 2.0 has gone up from Rs. 6,099,000 to Rs. 6,154,000, reflecting an increase of Rs. 55,000.

Hyundai Sonata

  • Hyundai Sonata 2.0L now costs Rs. 8,724,000, a rise of Rs. 75,000 from its previous price of Rs. 8,649,000.
  • The price of Sonata 2.5L has increased from Rs. 9,399,000 to Rs. 9,484,000, indicating an increase of Rs. 85,000.

Hyundai Tucson

  • Hyundai Tucson FWD, which used to cost Rs. 7,399,000, has now increased to Rs. 7,464,000 after a price hike of Rs. 65,000.
  • Tucson AWD has increased by Rs. 70,000, taking it from Rs. 7,899,000 to Rs. 7,969,000.

Hyundai Staria

  • Hyundai Staria 3.5 A/T has increased from Rs. 8,289,000 to Rs. 8,364,000 after a price jump of Rs. 75,000.
  • Staria 2.2D M/T has gone up from Rs. 8,424,000 to Rs. 8,499,000, indicating an increase of Rs. 75,000.
  • The price of Staria 2.2D A/T has risen by Rs. 80,000, now costing Rs. 8,909,000 instead of the previous price of Rs. 8,829,000.
  • The price of Staria HGS has increased by Rs. 100,000, reaching Rs. 11,009,000 from Rs. 10,909,000.

Hyundai Porter H-100

  • The price of Porter H-100 Deckless has increased from Rs. 3,358,000 to Rs. 3,388,000, reflecting a rise of Rs. 30,000.
  • The price of Porter H-100 Flat Deckless has gone up from Rs. 3,378,000 to Rs. 3,408,000, indicating an increase of Rs. 30,000.
  • The price of Porter H-100 High Deck has also increased by Rs. 30,000, taking it from Rs. 3,398,000 to Rs. 3,428,000.
