Polls Will Be Available On Whatsapp For Windows Soon

The polls function for WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has now been made available to users of Android and iOS, and development has begun on bringing the feature to Windows.

According to WABetaInfo, some beta users have already discovered the functionality via the Windows 2.2242.0.0 update for the social messaging service, which also adds polls, shortcuts, and online status.

Users on Windows could previously only watch and participate in polls on groups within the application, but as soon as the capability is ready, they will also be able to make their own polls.

“If you want to create a poll, you need to click the attach icon placed next to the chat bar: a poll shortcut will show up and it opens the view shown in this screenshot,” WABetaInfo states in its report about WhatsApp.

In the same way that it does on Android, iOS, and desktop, users may “add up to 12 options to the poll and it is always end-to-end encrypted, so only other people in the same discussion can read and reply to it.”

It should be mentioned that the function works with both group and one-on-one chats.

More people will eventually get access to the service, which is presently only available to beta testers.
