Syed Amin ul Haq, the minister of information technology and telecommunications, promised that the effort would help further expand the IT industry and its export at an exponential rate while announcing the new date. In contrast to the 47.44 percent increase in IT and telecom exports during the same time period, other ministries’ exports have only increased by 2 to 3 percent recently. The young IT graduates may seize the expanding chances being presented by the IT companies amid enormous funding of $373 million from the government for the startups, he claimed, demonstrating that future job needs can be met with the cooperation of industry and academics.
