Team West Indies is on tour to Zimbabwe. Today, the first test match encounter of both teams in Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo.
The chairman of Cricket West Indies said about this tour,
“The tour to Zimbabwe early in 2023 will be an important part of our 2023 Test program, which also includes series against South Africa and India. Having produced some good results early in 2022, the team will be eager to begin the year with strong performances in Zimbabwe.”
West Indies have played three innings against the host side and won all of the series.
West Indies test squad consists of Kraigg Brathwaite (c), Joshua Da Silva (wk), Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Nkrumah Bonner, Jermaine Blackwood, Kyle Mayers, Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph, Shannon Gabriel, Kemar Roach, Jomel Warrican, Devon Thomas, Raymon Reifer, and Gudakesh Motie.
Zimbabwe test squad comprises Craig Ervine (c), Joylord Gumbie (wk), Innocent Kaia, Chamu Chibhabha, Gary Ballance, Milton Shumba, Brad Evans, Donald Tiripano, Victor Nyauchi, Richard Ngarava, Wellington Masakadza, Tanaka Chivanga, Brandon Mavuta, Tanunurwa Makoni, Kudzai Maunze, and Tafadzwa Tsiga.
The tour comprises 2 test matches that will be played at the same stadium.
