In a thrilling finale to the ODI series, Australia secured a dominant victory over Pakistan with a final score of 235-7.
Despite Pakistan’s top four scoring 167 runs, a significant improvement from the first two games, captain Bismah Maroof’s 44 runs were not enough to secure a win against the world champion hosts.
However, Ash Gardner was the standout player for Australia, taking 3-30 and proving to be a formidable force on the field.
Additionally, Beth Mooney scored her third ODI century and reached triple figures in only 91 deliveries during the match. Her 133 runs, including 14 boundaries and four sixes, helped Australia to post their fourth-highest score in history.
Her performance at North Sydney Oval also earned her the title of highest individual score in women’s ODIs.
In addition, Australian captain Meg Lanning scored 72 runs from 70 deliveries. Pakistan’s Fatima Sana emerged as the best bowler for the tourists, taking 3-53. The series may be over, but the excitement and drama provided by these talented players will not soon be forgotten.
