Sajid Ali Sadpara Announced A Mission Clean Up K-2

Sajid Ali Sadpara, the son of the late legendary mountaineer Muhammad Ali Sadpara has announced a campaign to clean up K-2 in June-August 2023. He announced it via a video on his Twitter handle.

In the video, he was worried about the worse results of climate change on Pakistan, in the form of Floods. He also talked said that the livelihood of the people of GB is directly or indirectly attached to the tourism sector. If there is cleanliness, then everyone will earn benefits equally.

Expedition culture is going to peak, and many expeditions are coming to Pakistan to summit K-2. But every climber left about 8-10 Kg. Waste on the peak. This waste is usually in the form of food, oxygen cylinders, and miscellaneous things. This leftover is turning the K-2 into a pigsty.

To clean up the peak, the last place of his father, he made a team of volunteers. Moreover, he requested to Pakistan government, GB’s government, and local and foreign tour operators to join him in his venture.
