Shaun Tait, the bowling coach, got into a heated argument with a reporter during the press conference at the conclusion of day four over an unrelated subject. The national bowling coach was questioned by a journalist over the belief in Pakistan that the country’s pacers had underperformed in red-ball cricket. The writer also questioned him about his satisfaction with leading the national pace team in the ongoing red-ball series in his capacity as a bowling coach.
In response, Tait said that it was an opinion rather than a question, and that it was impossible to know. He questioned, “What would you like me to say?”
But before he did, Tait responded to the reporter’s follow-up query by expressing his satisfaction with the pacers’ performance.
Naseem Shah’s inclusion in the starting lineup for the second Test has raised some optimism because of his strong performance as a right-arm bowler.
During the current series, Mir Hamza was also proficient with the ball, bowling with good length and generating swing.
