Health officials confirmed on Monday that there have been two Congo virus-related deaths reported in the nation.
The 20-year-old pregnant Afghan woman Gul Naz was brought from Kuchlak with symptoms of the virus, according to the health authorities. She was received at the Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital in Quetta.
The victim was experiencing mouth and nose bleeding. A lab examined her blood samples and identified the illness. Gul Naz was unable to live and passed away early on Sunday.
Mohammad Adil, 28, was found dead in Karachi, according to the Sindh health department.
The victim, according to a representative of the health department, sold meat and lived in the Liaquatabad region. Malaria and dengue were initially tested for, but the results were negative.
The official added that it began with a fever and headache, which worsened two days later. The victim was transported to a private hospital, where he received treatment for a full day. Later, he also experienced episodes of nasal bleeding.
The patient’s condition worsened, and on May 4 he was admitted to North Nazimabad’s Ziauddin Hospital. A day later, Mohammad Adil passed away.
