Three important institutions the Supreme Court, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), and the establishment need to be impartial, according to Haq.
He pointed out that while political parties in parliament were mainly preoccupied with their own issues, it was the people who had the power to solve Pakistan’s problems.
Haq expressed concern about the lack of consideration for problems faced by common Pakistanis, farmers, and villagers, which had resulted in suffering.
He emphasised the need for future generations to have access to fundamental needs like clean water, peace, justice, and a higher standard of living, as well as the freedom to choose their own fate.
Haq identified inflation, unemployment, and unrest as serious issues and blamed them on the current administration’s policies. He emphasised to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif the importance of resolving these problems before the upcoming elections.
In order to guarantee credible results, Haq also expressed a desire for caretaker governments to be established in the provinces and at the federal level prior to the elections.
Imran Khan, President Dr. Arif Alvi, and Prime Minister Shahbaz, among other political figures, all agreed on the dire state of affairs in Pakistan, but they were unsure of how to proceed, according to Haq.
He continued by saying that the future was uncertain, including the Supreme Court’s and the establishment’s roles, and this uncertainty was contributing to the stress and tension in the air.
The JI leader emphasised that in order to save the nation, the top court, establishment, and electoral supervisor should all maintain their objectivity.
He urged the establishment to demonstrate its impartiality in line with its declaration that it is apolitical. Sirajul Haq emphasised that in order to secure a better future for the nation, the needs of the people must come first.
