Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan announced a peaceful protest following Eid ul Fitr during a gathering of supporters and active members at Zaman Park in Lahore.
Khan claimed that the ruling party’s leaders were plotting to take strict action against PTI workers and supporters. He questioned the current government’s motives, as they have not arrested anyone from the ruling party, PMLN, but have detained PTI workers and supporters.
According to Khan, the government has arrested 3,000 PTI workers. He also addressed Pakistan’s economic challenges, urging authorities to take action and work towards fairness, adding that PTI leaders were being treated poorly.
Khan predicted that more party leaders and workers could be arrested by the government without cause. He is currently at Zaman Park in Lahore, surrounded by active members and supporters.
Khan also discussed the state of democracy in Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of supporting the country and standing with the Supreme Court and Pakistan’s Constitution in all circumstances. He attributed the weaknesses in the constitution to the influence of the Mafia.
