The Inter-Region U13 and U16 One-Day competitions’ triangular stages were officially declared by the Pakistan Cricket Board today. On on April 29, a triangular stage of a 30-over-a-side U13 tournament featuring Peshawar, Lahore, and Karachi will be played
Starting on April 30, the FATA, Karachi, and Lahore areas will compete in the triangular stage of the 50-over U16 tournament.
On May 5 and 6, respectively, the finals of the U13 and U16 championships will feature the top two teams from the triangular stage.
On April 29, Lahore Region and Peshawar Region will square off in the triangular round of the Inter-Region U13 One-Day Competition. The Karachi Region will fight against the Peshawar Region on May 1 and the Lahore Region on May 3. At Divisional Public School in Faisalabad, all contests, including the championship game between the two best teams, are planned to take place.
Furthermore, on April 30, Lahore Area will compete against FATA Region in the triangular round of the Inter-Region U16 One-Day Competition. FATA Region will play Karachi Region on May 2, and Karachi Region will play Lahore Region in the final triangular stage match on May 4. The Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad will serve as the site of all of the tournament’s games, including the championship game.
The Inter-Region U13 Tournament for 2023 got underway in Faisalabad and Karachi on March 12. 16 regions were featured and separated into three categories, including Abbottabad, AJK, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, FATA, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Larkana, Multan, D.M. Jamali, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, and Sialkot.
Karachi Region finished first in the five-team Pool ‘A’ with four victories from as many games and eight points. Lahore Region maintained their perfect winning record in the five-team Pool “B” and took first place with eight points after four games. Peshawar Region and Rawalpindi Region both won four matches in the six-team Pool “C,” and they were level on eight points. However, Peshawar Region won the pool due to a higher net run-rate.
On March 12th, the Inter-Region U16 Tournament 2023 got underway as well, with 16 different regions. Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Sheikhupura all hosted pool matches. With seven points from four games, the Karachi Region won Pool “A,” Lahore Region had eight points, and the FATA Region had eight points from five games to win Pool “C.”
