Shadab Khan Jumps Eight Spots In T20I All-Rounder Rankings

On Wednesday’s ICC T20I all-rounder rankings, Shadab Khan rose eight ranks to fourth.

In the most recent T20I all-rounder rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday, Shadab Khan moves up eight spots to place fourth.

Shahdab moved up six spots to number 12 overall on the list for bowers after becoming the first Pakistani to reach 100 T20 wickets in the just finished series against Afghanistan. In the same category, his teammate Mohammad Wasim rose nine ranks to take 23rd place.

Shakibul Hasan of Bangladesh is ranked first overall, followed by Hardik Pandya of India and Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan in second and third, respectively.

A number of Afghanistan’s players have benefited from their team’s historic T20I series triumph over Pakistan, with two of their bowlers making significant advancements in the most recent MRF Tyres ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), star spinner Rashid Khan benefited most from Afghanistan’s historic victory over Pakistan in a bilateral T20I series, surpassing Sri Lankan seamer Wanindu Hasaranga to reclaim the top spot among T20I bowlers worldwide.

The 24-year-old Rashid first gained top billing as the No. 1 T20I bowler back in 2018 and has since been a very reliable player in the game’s shortest format.

In Sharjah, the right-armer picked up a wicket against Pakistan in each of the three games, with his stingy economy rate in both of Afghanistan’s triumphs in the opening two games of the series standing out.

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, fell one spot to fourth in the T20I batter rankings after being rested for the Afghan series. Suryakumar Yadav of India is the top T20I batsman, with Mohammad Rizwan coming in second with 811 points.

With the conclusion of Zimbabwe’s series against the Netherlands and Australia’s away series in India, there was some change on the ODI charts this week as well.

Adam Zampa of Australia moved up three spots to sixth position overall on the list of ODI bowlers, while Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe advanced one spot to fifth place among all-rounders.

On the list of ODI batters, India’s opener Shubman Gill reached a career-high rating of 738 points in fifth place, while skipper Rohit Sharma climbed one rank to eighth place overall.
