“I Always Had a Problem”: Rajkumar Rao’s Stance on Being Called a ‘Hero’

Bheed, Rajkumar Rao’s upcoming movie, is a sociopolitical drama, Rajkumar Rao’s opinion of the term “Hero”. He always has to face problems.

The well-known Indian actor Rajkumar Rao has received several nominations and awards for his versatility, including two National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. He has appeared in a variety of films, from box office hits to highly praised small flicks. One of Bollywood’s most outstanding performers, Rajkumar Rao, gives the hero a more sensitive and humanized image. He received a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his first film, Love Sex Aur Dhokha. Since then, he has appeared in some movies, including Pushpavalli, Kai Po Che!, Queen, CityLights, Shahid, Chhichhore, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Criminal Justice, Made in Heaven, and his movie Roohi.

Rao has a completely different perspective on the idea of calling actors heroes. He claimed that there are real-world heroes who are deserving of the title.

He said that honestly, he has always had issues with the term hero. He believes that they are actors rather than heroes or heroines. There are so many people in real life who are heroes and should be called that instead of actors. He said that we are actors and we just play our parts. His words have never sat well with Rajkumar Rao. He never considered becoming a hero or an actor.

He continued that Rajkumar Rao, who? For him, it went without saying that he would write about figures of inspiration and tales that spoke to him personally. Over the past 12 years, he has lived by this slogan, and he will continue to do so. The Badhai Do actor continued that he will listen to his heart and be a part of stories that will do something for him as an actor, which will make him grow and challenge himself. The purpose of being an artist is to achieve that. In terms of his professional life, Rajkumar Rao is getting ready for the March 24 release of Bheed, the sociopolitical movie he is starring in with Bhumi Pednekar.
