Taapsee Pannu Recalls an Embarrassing Moment from Miss India

Taapsee Pannu discusses how she felt degraded during the Miss India competition.

Indian actress Taapsee Pannu primarily performs in Hindi and Telugu movies. She has appeared in a few movies in the Tamil and Malayalam languages. Jhummandi Naadam, a Telugu-language movie, was her first acting role in 2010. Since then, she has been in a number of popular movies like Pink, Naam Shabana, Manmarziyaan, and Badla. She has received numerous nominations and a few victories, including the Film-fare Award for Best Female Debut for her work in the movie Baby. She uses social media frequently and is outspoken about her views on social and political topics.

Taapsee Pannu remembers making it to the top 28 in Miss India. She revealed that she was among the top 28 finalists for Miss India. She attempted to compete in pageants before she tried her hand at acting. She remembers the contest and how she was humiliated as she travels down memory lane.

The actor recalls that she realized that I could not pull this off during the grooming phase. They forced them to move and taught them how to grin. At the time, Hemant Trivedi served as a knowledgeable instructor, and he humiliated her. If it had been in her hands, you never would have made the top 28.

There was a lot of favoritism going on there, she continued. Contracts that stated mandated contestants give 30% of their yearly revenues to the pageant over a three-year period were being placed upon participants. After it was completed, every participant went to an after-party where the national director was present and very politely wished her well in the future. She continued that she doesn’t know why did she say that sir, take it from her in writing, you are not getting the crown back, is beyond her.
