Amazons Defeat Super Women In Women’s League Exhibition Matches

Third and final match of the Women’s League Exhibition series, Bismah Maroof’s Amazons defeated Nida Dar’s Super Women to win the trophy.

The Amazons under Bismah Maroof defeated the Super Women under Nida Dar in the third and final game of the Women’s League Exhibition series, winning the championship.

At the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi today, Amazons defeated Super Women by 33 runs, despite Chamari Athapaththu’s century for her team.

Super Women were limited to 185-8 in 20 overs while chasing 219 runs.

With the help of 12 fours and six maximums, Athapaththu scored 107 runs in 60 balls without being dismissed.

Danni Wyatt took two victims, while Fatima Sana got three wickets.

The Amazons made 218-6 in their allotted 20 overs after opting to bat first.

With an additional fifty against her name, Captain Bismah shown her mettle once more. Six fours and a six let her score 51 runs in 32 balls.

Wyatt, meanwhile, scored 43 runs in 20 balls, including 7 fours and 2 sixes.

Tammy Beaumont contributed with a 26-ball 39 as well.

Aiman Anwer took two wickets for the Super Women but also gave up 40 runs in four overs.

Wyatt won the game’s player of the match award for her all-around effort.

It should be remembered that in the opening game of the series, Super Women easily defeated Amazons by eight wickets. In the second match, Amazons defeated Super Women by 41 runs.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) initiative to promote women’s cricket in the nation included the three-day exhibition series. The PCB is also planning to introduce a women’s league later this year.
