According to a statement made late Tuesday by the military’s media affairs branch, Pakistani security forces killed at least four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the vicinity of Hoshab and Tilsar in Balochistan.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) claimed in a statement that security forces carried out an operation in the Hoshab and Tilsar area of the country’s southwest region to remove a terrorist hideout.
Security personnel were attacked by militants as they approached the terrorists’ location.
According to ISPR, four terrorists were killed during the ensuing fierce exchange of fire, and a sizable quantity of homemade explosive material was found in their possession.
While the operation’s goal was to destroy the terrorists’ hideouts, forces arrived in the region by special helicopters.
Two suicide bombers were among the 11 terrorists slain earlier this month by the Pakistani Army as they prevented massive terror assaults in the northwest region bordering Afghanistan.
TTP and other terrorist splinter groups have intensified attacks on forces after breaking the ceasefire. At a recent meeting of the National Security Committee, the group even threatened to harm senior members of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) who discussed taking action against the TTP (NSC).
