Previously, he alleged in a series of tweets that Pakistan’s powerful military establishment uses actresses to trap politicians and key figures. Although he did not take the identities of the actresses involved, he did reveal their initials.
According to the initials he revealed of the involved top-tier actresses, many netizens assumed they were Mehwish Hayat, Sajal Aly, Kubra Khan, and Mahira Khan. Following his post, Kubra Khan stepped forward and pledged to sue ex-Pakistan army commander Major (retd) Adil Raja for making false claims against her.
Now, Mehwish Hayat has expressed her disappointment and taken to Instagram, where she stated unequivocally that just because she is an actress does not mean her name can be dragged through the mud.
According to Mehwish Hayat, people will go to any length for cheap notoriety and stardom. “I hope you’re enjoying your two minutes of fame,” Mehwish replied, referring to the recent raja disaster.
“Just because I’m an actor doesn’t mean my name can be dragged through the gutter,” she stated, adding, “Shame on you for spreading unsubstantiated charges and insinuations about someone you know nothing about, and even bigger shame on people who accept his nonsense.”
