In the midst of a new wave of terror in the South Asian nation, the top generals of the Pakistani Army on Wednesday reaffirmed their commitment to combating and eliminating the terrorist threat.
The top brass expressed their determination to snuff out the latest wave of terrorism at the 254th Corps Commanders’ Conference held at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, according to the Army’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations.
Corps commanders and other members of the military’s top hierarchy attended the CCC, which was presided over by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir. According to ISPR, a thorough examination of military organisational and professional issues was conducted.
According to the statement, the military leadership underlined their determination to fight terrorists without making any distinctions and to end the threat in accordance with the aspirations of the Pakistani people.
The country is experiencing an increase in terrorist activity as the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a proscribed organisation, intensified attacks on troops and civilians after the truce was broken.
