Sayed Mohammad Ali Hosseini, the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, emphasised on Friday that there is enormous potential for Iran and Pakistan to work closely together in a variety of areas, including energy and trade.
At the Finance Division, the ambassador met with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. The minister made clear that Pakistan places a high emphasis on its cordial ties with Iran.
According to him, the existing level of trade between the two nations is not optimal, and Pakistan is committed to using all legal means to remove trade barriers in order to considerably increase the two nations' bilateral trade volume.
The ambassador also emphasised the long-standing historical cultural, economic, trade, and political ties that exist between the two nations and talked about various ways to deepen those ties.
In order to increase trade between the two nations, the summit also covered the opening of border markets, barter trade, a free trade agreement, and mutual investments.
The Iranian ambassador and the finance minister underlined their satisfaction with their respective bilateral ties and indicated a strong desire to increase cooperation in a number of areas of shared interest.
