The Vivo Series 16 has just been authorised in China. Three variants are available: the S16, S16 Pro, and S16e, which are the S15 series’ immediate successors. Despite having slightly varied features, all three models share the same design.
The three phones all have the same AMOLED panel, which has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1080p resolution, but they vary in size and appearance. The 6.62-inch flat screen of the S16e is slightly smaller than the 6.78-inch display with curved edges on the S16 and S16 Pro. The center-aligned punch hole cutout and the under-display fingerprint sensors are shared by all three devices.
Hardware and software:
The Snapdragon 870 and Dimensity 8200 chipsets on the S16 and S16 Pro, respectively, are superior to the Samsung Exynos 1080 found in the Vivo S16e. Up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of onboard storage are available on all three devices. On any of the phones, a memory card slot is absent.
The smartphones’ operating system, OriginOS 3.0, is based on Android 13. Instead, Funtouch OS will be included in the international editions.
Cameras:
Along with a 16MP front-facing camera, the Vivo S16e boasts a 50MP main sensor and two 2MP lenses for depth sensing and macro photography. The 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro unit make up the camera system on the standard S16.
The 50MP OIS-capable primary lenses, 12MP ultrawide-angle sensor, and 2MP macro sensor on the Pro model.
A 50MP selfie camera is present on both the Pro and standard variants. They are all capable of recording 4K video.
Pricing and Battery:
The 4,600 mAh battery for the whole S16 series enables 66W rapid charging.
