Pakistan sent a strong message of support to Kashmiris: PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has thanked Pakistanis from all walks of life, including those living abroad, for their enthusiastic involvement in the observation of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

“I am grateful to people of Pakistan belonging to all walks of life incl. overseas Pakistanis for their ardent participation in commemoration of Kashmir Solidarity Day,” PM Shehbaz Sharif wrote on Twitter.

He continued, “Pakistan has sent a strong message of support to Kashmiris in their legitimate quest for self-determination.

PM Sharif had earlier in the day emphasised the need to forge unity and solidarity by eschewing all political divisions in order to further energise and strengthen the Kashmir cause.

On “Kashmir Solidarity Day,” the prime minister said Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had declared Kashmir to be “a jugular vein of Pakistan.” He was speaking to a special session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (AJKL).

According to the prime minister, societal divisions were regrettable, but in Muzaffarabad, AJK, and Pakistan, all political parties, their leaders, and the assembly members were in unison, reflecting the country’s togetherness, peace, and solidarity, which undoubtedly alarmed India.
